Eco Skin Ipanema Dress: A Closet Staple for the Nursing Mom

Today on Hautelook.com: My favorite dress to wear while nursing that is not a nursing dress.

Let me explain.

I never thought that I would have to think about “easy access” daily when I ventured into the writing profession. I thought that only strippers and hookers had these kinds of problems. Boy was I wrong. Everyday when I get dressed I have to think about how to dress so that I can pump easily while at work or be able to nurse Anna easily when she’s with me. I find it very difficult to find clothes that are easy to breastfeed in that still make me feel covered and don’t make me feel like I look like a frumpy new mom.

One of my favorite dresses to wear is this Ipanema dress by EcoSkin. It has a flattering design that pulls in at just the right part of my waist to make those extra baby pounds disappear. The best part is the neckline is loose enough to pull down to provide easy access for a screaming baby, but it also drapes beautifully when not in use. Oh, and the kicker is that it is a super soft bamboo, tencel and spandex blend that is so comfortable you won’t care that you haven’t slept in days.

  1. Yes! Yes! Yes! Daily with the pumping at work and on the weekends it’s nursing access… Thanks for the tip on the dress :)
